Dr. Peebles was able to travel around the world to understand different social problems in the black community. It is very interesting, Dr J Peebles went to Pearl high school. Later he went to school in Maine and a number of other schools as well as TSU. He did a lot of traveling outside of the United States. At one time African Americans did not have opportunity to develop books and other educational materials beneficial to us. He wrote a book and others said it was unconventionaland before its time.

Dr. Peebles was insearch of foundation for young Blacks and discovered there were no books based on their culture; therefore he started his own publishing company. Dr. Peebles used his broad travel as well as the Church as a catalyst to write and publish informative books, and children books.

American History (MWF 9:10-10:05) Dr. Peebles studied over seas and saw how we (African Americans) are scattered everywhere. He went to college in Madrid. His very own publishing company began doing work where others can learn more about African Americans. His complete goal was to put in writing information so that other African Americans can learn more.
