  • I joined to fight for my country, I dont care about the reason behind the conflict and it is not my job to understand - Dont get my wrong I have opinions and feelings about things but at the same time I voluntarily signed up to defend my country - The people of my nation can sleep soundly knowing that rough men stand ready in the night to violence to those who mean them hard - in the end I fight not because I hate/support a war I fight to keep the people i love free from the horrors some face

  • @Daghiron In America, we volunteer to be in the service, we know there is a chance to be sent to a conflict that we don't believe in but we do it anyways. They might not be heroes to your standards but this is a way we show our appreciation to those who volunteer so those who don't want to go don't have to go. Furthermore, some of us even volunteer TO go over to combat zones. Whether you believe me or not, US isn't a fascist or socialist nation...not yet because of people like these

    Proud Army Mom

  • @blacksaint14 Shut up you terrorist fuck!

  • @DIHORY You're fucking stupid.

  • @tonybklyn I'm not gonna break your balls as much as some others here have - but it's not overcompensation - it's well-deserved respect. If your name is correct (Tony/Brooklyn) then just understand that the world is just like the old neighborhood (I was Sheepshead Bay), if you want respect and freedom then you need to be ready to break a few heads from time to time in order to get it. That's what our soldiers do - they break heads when needed! They deserve our respect!

  • @tonybklyn Fuck you. Don't undermine america's appreciation for our troops and if you must, speak for yourself while doing it. Like others have already pointed out times have changed since then.. As a son of a marine that survived Vietnam and the grandson of Sailor in WW2 I can tell you that my appreciation and respect towards by these men and women goes far beyond "overcompensation".

  • thanks for serving and stuff

  • @preemptivestrike20 Thanks. Compliments are rare as well! Cheers!
