Skyn, Wynde and Wyre presents a french piece from the Trouvere tradition of the late 12th century.
I found the piece of music in Historical Anthology of Music: Oriental, Medieval and renaissance Music, by Archibald T. Davison and Willi Apel. It was a monophonic piece of music. I did the arrangement using an extremely simple harmony of down a fifth. Then I simplified both the melody and the harmony so newer musicians had manageable lines to play.
I took the translation at the back of the book and modified it slightly so it would fit better to the melody.
Performed at Vinland Games, an event presented by the March of Blak Rose, East Kingdom, May 8, A.S. XLV.
