Hardly the word's steepest street. Try a few in Acapulco, or Guanajuato, Mexico. I'm sure there are many others. For that matter, Austin, Texas has a few that will rival it.
Really? I used to live in Spain and the only Gibraltar I know is the British-owned Rock of Gibraltar which is attached to Spain but doesn't belong to them - mainly because you can't trust the Spanish with the "Gateway to the Med"..The Germans and Russians would have been through there like rats up a drainpipe !!

I think you'll find that Gibraltar is not part of Spain.
