@BenJogan no prob! I play guitar mainly, but also took piano lessons long ago.. never got the hang of reading music either, takes me forever! I can play the first half funk groove in F fairly well, but I never got all the way through.. I need to try harder. I love hammonds too.. check out Robert Walter if you haven't already.. one of my favorite current funk organ players watch?v=epV31NWU

@groovewindow Thanks for your reply, I'm pleased! Yes I tried to "copy" you from the video - but your lessons gave me a hand (I'm beginning to understand part of the theory behind those nice jazz chords). I basically play by ear and thanks to you I'm building a solid "fundation for my hands", if you know what I mean.

@KingNast thank you! well no, I only play the keyboard (I love the hammond too and I'm practicing on the roland vk7). I started fooling around with the piano about 1 year and a half ago. When I was very young I took a few basic lessons on music, so if I want I can read the score - with great effort though.

Hey Ben - Sounding good! I also listened to your versions of my funk grooves in C and F -- nice stuff! How long have you been playing? That probably took some work to grab some of this C Jam Blues, given I never put any music or midi files up for it -- you must have learned just by watching and listening! Nice! Keep it up (subscribed...)
