This is the wrong/hard way. You can set the length and start/stop time by right clicking on the new ACC>get info>options.

I already have everything (well, ALMOST everything) set (put the ringtone to .m4r, etc.) and I still don't see the Ringtones in my iTunes library. Help?

Quick Question, I had already had a song in Itunes under
30 seconds, do I still need to go through the Quick Time Pro in order for this process to work, because I did everything else except that step and I was unable to get this to work. Please help out.
Thanks in advance

If the song is under 30 the Quicktime step in unnecessary. The problem probably has to do with the new iTunes (9). Have you upgraded to version 9? Or are you still in version 8? Because with version 9 they added a ringtone section to the store and they probably added more security now because they want you to buy the ringtones instead of making them. (which is stupid). Let me know what version your using and I may be able to help you.

First you should make sure that the Ringtone section in the iTunes preferences is enabled. If this does not fix it you may have to drag-n-drop it onto the Rigntones section. Also this video was made for iTunes 8, I have not tested this on iTunes 9 (if that is what version you are using).
