  • Billboard magazine voted Wigan Casino the best 'Disco' in the world ahead of Studio 54 in New York....How good is that???

  • I'm only 17 so obviously I wasn't even a twinkle in my parent's eyes when this was happening but I was I had been there. My mum went to the Wigan Casino and she got me into this fantastic music. They just don't make music like this now. Thanks for posting.

  • OMG! What a wonderful recording, I never made the last night as I was emigrating to South Africa at the time with my family. I have tears in my eyes listening to this, brings back so many wonderful memories of the Casino, there will never be another place like it again, I;m so glad I have the memories in my heart until I die. KTF!! xxx

  • @maclad11 I´m from Sweden, born ´68. I got into Lambrettas and northern soul 1984. We had kind of a revival scene in the late nineties. Sold the scooters, but not the records. This is truly the best dance music ever made. It´s a shame that there is no better film documentation from the seventies. Wow, if I had been there!!! KEEP ON KEEPIN´ ON .

  • i was just old enough to remeber my brother going northern dues in the 70's and i grew up through the dance sceen ive allways been a wigan fan the wheel was great and i live 3 miles from the torch in stoke but my heart belongs to wigan music, even though i wasnt quite old enough to go, all of u that were old enough ........ well robinsons jam comes to mind wish i was old enough u jammy sods and ktf

  • sat on the train station, screwing our eyes up (cos it was daylight) and saying goodbye. getting on the train, with a brick in our heart, Why !!!!, cos the place we loved, the place where we met up with all our mates, was closing. Gone but never forgotten, KTF,

  • Jimmy Radcliffe was the first ever " chill out " track ever played at any club....was just right for the moment....especially if you had a 200 mile trek home !
