Wario Land Shake It! - W4-B: Bloomsday Blowout

This here is a rather fun boss... even if Bloomsday does follow a very predictable pattern. The concept of Bloomsday is to strike when you get an opening to push Bloomsday further and further towards the water. It kind of reminds me of the Crocomire battle from Super Metroid in that way...

Bloomsday will go through three different phases as its HP gets lower. First it merely tries to blow you around, spitting out an enemy once in awhile that you can use to attack it. It will also try to use its attack that moves along the battlefield like a shockwave, creating pillars of spiked vines. The easiest way to dodge this attack is to merely go onto the purple venus guytrap (jumping to avoid getting eaten, of course).

The second phase is not much different. Bloomsday puts out a vine shield (the impact from Bloomsday smashing the ground to make the vine shield appear will also daze Wario if you are on the ground). It will send out a couple of scorpion enemies before attempting to suck you into the spiked shield. Use one of the scorpions as your ammo and attack once the vine shield is temporarily down. Also... the bandinero in this phase is a trap, if you go for it, you will more than likely get hit by the spiked vine shockwave.

The final phase is similar to the previous one... Bloomsday forms a barrier on both sides of you and spits out a cannon enemy. Shake the ground, then the cannon enemy, and cling to the bandinero for ammo. Bloomsday will then spit out a couple of spiked enemies that are flipped onto their backs. Destroy them if you want to and be prepared. This time Bloomsday tries to suck you in briefly before trying to push you back into the other barrier.

Overall, the boss is very easy once you learn its pattern. Still quite fun though.
