This is a video I made of me describing some of my amateur radio (Ham) radio equipment at my apartment near Denver, Colorado.

The free HRD (Ham Radio Deluxe) Software that I was describing on the video can be down loaded at http://www.ham-radio-deluxe.com/Home.aspx Note: As of July, 2011, I no longer use the Rigblaster Pro for the digital modes, instead I replaced the Rigblaster Pro with the Tigertronics Signalink USB interface unit.

I have been licensed by the FCC as an amateur (Ham) radio operator since September of 1967 when I was still in high school and have enjoyed the hobby ever since. Of course technology has changed quite a bit since 1967 in the amateur radio hobby.

Camera used: Sony DSC-HX1 MPEG-4 video file from camera was converted to an AVI file due to not having software to save as MPEG-4 files

After watching this video and part 2, it is obvious that I need to work on my zooming and panning skills with the camera! Panning and zooming too fast which would be amplified on a larger HD TV that could give some viewers a headache! I also need to look directly at the camera more as well. Oh well, there is always room for improvement!
