Often do I get asked which starter is the best pick in the 4th generation games Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. The truth is, they all have potential and have different strengths and weaknesses and can make a good addition to many teams.

This video is just a short summary of the final evolutions of Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup. You'll get to know their base stats and how to use them effectively.

Thanks for watching!

  • i know this sounds cheesy but the pokemon that you will do the best with is the pokemon you like, i know latios is a bad fighter but i use him all the time and he's lvl 100, and id rather use that than something that is impossible to catch and has 999 att and def, the game is supposed to be fun not a chore to see who can win, just fight die and laugh

  • i have a weavile on my B/W competitive team and call me stupis bu i don't use ice beam. i use blizzard in the hail XD

  • um the dual type starter isnt a first? Combusken and Blaziken? noob

  • @DumDum5551 why teach weavile blizzard or ice beam i won't do much damage with them its spAtk isn't high enough to make them effective

  • also i got all 3 starters, lv 100, they're all decent

  • :D EMPOLEON'S MY FAVOURITE!!! andf my one was ev trained well from the start of the game so its stats are great :)

  • this video is exactly 10 minutes long? WHAT SORCERY IS THIS?????

  • they are all great pokemon it dosent matter wich one you pick i've played through with all of them

  • Hey, nice video, man.

Truth is that, if you're playing alone, almost any Pokemon will turn out pretty great, as long as you give them nice moves and level up enough. Pick the ones you like, like many said before!

Competitive Wi-Fi gaming can be fun, but there'll be always somebody using a full team of EV Trained\Stat Boosted\Over leveled Pokemon. Why get stressed?

If you only play to win, chances are that you won't have fun not only with pokemon, but with anything in your life =P

  • @TheMebejennette are you gay?

  • well in gen 3 the last evolutions have 2 types aswell like swampert he is ground and water

  • I think that gen6 should have for starters a dark type a phsychic type and a fighting type. Of course if you pick the psychic type you would have more of a downfall but hey, it's nice to have a change.
