Long-Term Care Financing Solutions Panels 1 and 2
THE NEW SCHOOL | http://www.newschool.edu
Ten million Americans today need long-term care. In the next three decades, that number is expected to double, leaving our nations long-term care financing system based largely on Medicaid in jeopardy. We must act now to ensure that todays seniors and disabled adults receive the best possible care and that long-term care is affordable for future generations.
Join The New School's President Emeritus, Bob Kerrey, and prominent leaders in healthcare and long-term care policy and practice for a groundbreaking, interactive discussion addressing potential approaches to long-term care financing reform and what New York can do to be a national leader in creating solutions. Sponsored by the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA), The New School, AARP, the New York Association of Homes & Services for the Aging (NYAHSA), and the Continuing Care Leadership Coalition (CCLC), this program is designed to help attendees understand how long-term care financing impacts consumers access to services for older adults, the effect on state and federal budgets, and options for reform.
