My first try using my new Panasonic Lumix GH1. Terrible shooting conditions, because it was true crowded to come get really close. Hard to aim the focus in fool zoom and with straightened arms above the head, just looking at the tiny display from far :-(((

  • Great video, geat colors, great everything.

Did you use a ND filter? Did you shoot all hand held?

    Did you use the OIS?

    Thanks

  • @Valero7

Thanks a lot. Yeah, most shots taken with an ND8 filter and also OIS. I only had the kit lens at that time. This was one of my first tries and I got my GH1 a few days before. Meanwhile, I am only shooting with manual primes. Easier to handle and the results are even better. Also very happy with the Tester13 patches now ;-))

  • @drdltjdaks1 Thank you !!! It basically all starts with the shooting. Most people already make major mistakes there and have a hard time with editing later. Many things to say about it, but just let me give you a few useful tips:

Hold the camera as steady as possible and record "takes" instead of wildly panning around. Each take should be about 10 sec. and you need to shoot as many DIFFERENT perspectives ( angles, close ups, wide shots, etc. ) as possible. That makes a video look interesting.

  • Thank you for producing a wonderful video.

The Asakusa Samba Carnival was started in 1981 to boost tourism and the downtown area economy.

It is held on the last Saturday of August every year.

The annual festival is modeled after the world-famous Rio Carnival in Brazil.

The parade doubles as a samba contest.

Participating samba schools compete with one another with elaborate dance routines.

A samba school invited from Brazil will also give a special performance at Asakusa Public Hall.^^

  • the image: 10, the sound: 0 (In Brazil or whatever part of world a Samba School dace with samba, not with cuban music!!!!!)

  • great video but would be greater with samba soundtrack ! (actually cuba music lol)

  • Beatiful video! The samba is fantastic & colorful.

  • good shoot !

Better go to Brazil to take a real hot summer Samba.
