Zoe Keating setup a Cello Tweetup during SXSW 2010 and I was lucky enough to catch most of it. I love hearing them shout out chord and tempo changes to each other.

  • Yes, I believe that the clicks were from the drummer shown briefly towards the beginning. It was so great to be able to see them play. I think they were playing written out songs before I got there. This tune was all improvised.

  • Captivating stuff. I couldn't stop watching and I couldn't stop tapping my foot. Thanks!

  • I am on that video.. lol

  • nice! Thanks for posting. That was so fun!

  • Thanks for posting this! I was so happy to witness this. The clicks are from the drummer, if they sound odd its because he's playing a bucket and not a snare or tom.

  • yeah, sounds like he's doing some rim clicks instead of hittin it straight on

  • Probably the drummer they introduced right before it started...

  • @tobyz1 Isn't it great? I can't place the percussion either... wish I could start playing improv in groups like that!

  • I'm so jealous!

    This is absolutely beautiful :)

  • A fun video. I enjoyed the close-ups, too. I couldn't locate the source of that sharp percussive clicking. Where was that from?
