This was Georgie's biggest hit, #1 in UK, #7 in USA in 1968.
Video was recorded for The Rick Shaw Show in 1968 in Miami. The production was a crude attempt at chroma-key, which just came out. Fame played organ on many Van Morrison tunes.

I also recommend backing up your very favorite music on discs, and even still buying vinyl in good condition and keeping multiple players in good working order to play multiple formats. That way, no matter what the Internet, radio and television may do to prohibit or restrict free music sharing, you will have a good collection of your own to listen to whenever you wish.

I recommend everyone beg. borrow, and/or steal whatever older music you may whenever you may (if you cannot afford to buy it), just in case the day arrives when it will be even harder to find good music. The Internet may someday be more regulated, and less free music available. So, to quote that Janis Joplin tune, "Get It While You Can."

Most radio today is automated and highly formatted according to demographics. That is why the Internet is so important to obtain music. If you are lucky enough to afford cable television, there are also music channels in the upper tier that play many genres of music. That's another way to get older music.

Radio never plays any music before the 1970s anymore (and even then, heavily skewed toward the late 1980s through music of today), unless you are lucky enough to live in an area with college radio and/or independent radio stations, where there are still actual disc jockeys allowed to play some of what they wish.

Even in the 1960's this must have looked a bit stilted and awkward. I love Georgie's suit however, he looks handsome in it.
