harlem was jewish german and italian before blacks from down south got here. they eventually got richer and moved out of the poorer neighbourhoods. difference is blacks havnt been able to grow near that rate of all the other immigrant in ny history so they are being pushed out

its not an issue of race its an issue of money. gentrification happens all over the world
