To kalokairaki - Το καλοκαιράκι (piano version)

Another classic song of my early years, recorded on my stage piano (Yamaha P120) on my multichannel recorder (Zoom MRS1608) this greek song was sung by the group "Fatme", where
the singer Nikos Portokaloglou started his career.
In the lyrics, the singer is dreaming of summertime on an island by the sea, having got away from the hectic life of Athens, having some romance with his other half, singing "Me and you, you and me, alone on the earth".
Then, the phone rings, the island is sinking in his dream and he jumps sweating, realising that he is in the busy office. His other half is there working and smiling at him. He feels lost, but he can hear her singing "Me and you, You and me, alone on the earth".
How much more of a smart song taken out of life this could have been!!! No matter how much work-oriented one can be and how much they love their job, I believe it is in human nature even once in a while to daydream for a short time about the possibility of having some holidays away.
