The McCartney album was the catalyst for what is considered 'indie' music today..he literally CREATED indie music with one album..He has covered so many different genres of music and has such an unlimited talent..the man is genius.

I LISTENED to this record 100s of times, now I am 47 and have a Studio of my own

@TheOneartist Not Talking about part of songs on The Beatles records but on the early McCartney solo's..As for the message,like I said it may have been the old Valve Dansette making it sound different to me, it's always puzzled me, anyway I was 12 when Sgt Pepper came out and I was about 15 when I got a Stereo copy I'm 56 now so cut me some slack with the Ole memory thing. ( my mono Sgt Pepper was an original bought when released )

@MrSRFRALEY And the point of McCartney I and II is that he plays everything himself, he recorded them both at home and he did them for his own purpose without thinking of it being commercial or for others, just having fun creating himself. He didn't even consider releasing them at first.

@MrSRFRALEY Wha, man? Where are you getting this stuff from? None of The Beatles LP's had parts of songs that'd appear in full on the next. It'd always be new songs.

And the Sgt. Pepper message at the end, it's the same on both mono and stereo. But of course, the mono is the definitive for the all the album songs.

@TheOneartist..... Yes I'm sure you are correct, In my mind I always Imagined it to be George Martin.

Another thing ,did you notice on the some of the early LP's there would be a short track that would appear in full on the next LP.And...While I'm at it...the end of Sgt Pepper (Message?or not.) Is different on the Mono to the Stereo (this maybe down to the old Dansette , not sure)
