As part of the 2010 Urban Culture Project (UCP) Studio Residency Program Exhibition CUMULUS, curated by Julia Cole and Cara Megan Lewis, a site-specific performance entitled "Four Seasons", was presented live at the opening reception at UCP's Paragraph gallery in Kansas City, MO.
Choreographed by Jane Gotch, with costumes visually referencing the four seasons designed by Erica Mahinay, and live video projection produced by Timothy Amundson, was performed in four acts. This excerpt is from the piece entitled "Summer".
For more information on the exhibition as a whole, which featured visual and performance works of 10 artists participating in the Charlotte Street Foundation's (CSF) Urban Culture Project Studio Residency Program, visit www.CharlotteStreet.org. The exhibition was presented in two parts from January 15 - March 3, 2010.
CSF's Urban Culture Project Studio Residency Program provides free communal and private studio space for one-year terms to artists in the Visual and Performing Arts working in Kansas City. Every year the artists are invited to exhibit their work in one of the Urban Culture Projects two gallery spaces in the Urban Core of KC.
