they dont, trust me that is an urban legend to scare people. They do and can bite as they are venemous but the whole eat you in your sleep so you wake up with a chunk of flesh missing is a load of bull. They are venemous so will leave a nasty bite but they do not EAT you in your sleep. They can run up to 10mph and the only reason why people say they were being chased was because the spider was looking for shade, as this vid says they do not like the sun, and a persons shadow is a good sun block.

they do have venom but it isnt deadly to humans. It will just give you a nasty painful lump.

OMG, imagine that fucking thing on your ceiling at night, i'd piss my pants, hell a piece of toilet paper won't kill that thing, i'd need a 44. Magnum! Look up pictures of this thing on google images, it is a beastly spider, no joke i saw a picture of a soldier in iraq holding one, it was about as big as him!
