Here is a hilarious clip of Paul Lynde doing the weather at the former WSPD, Ch. 13, in Toledo, OH, around 1978 or '79. This was my #1 clip on another YouTube channel of mine that got suspended, so here it is again!

He was an Ohio boy. Buried in Amity Cemetery in Ohio next to his parents. Just a very simple grave stone.

The Holiday Inn stands empty for four years now, and Dominic's, a colorful Italian restaurant right down the road, where dozens of stars came to eat while in Toledo has been replaced with Olive Garden. Tony Pack's of Mash fame has gone bankrupt (hope they stay open). Toledo is the fast food and chain restaurant capital of the United States given the fact that for 9 months of the year there isn't anything to do but eat and hibernate. Miss Paul Lynde and many other greats that came here though.

Paul stayed right at the Holiday Inn about one mile from us that night. Too bad South Toledo doesn't attract the stars like it did back in the 70's. Now we only attract Nazis and gang members.

I remember watching Paul Lynde doing the weather on Channel 13 in Toledo. This really brings back a lot of memories, and it's so cool to see it in color. While the family watched CH-7 out of Detroit on the large RCA XL-100 downstairs, I would always watch WSPD TV on my large black & white portable in my bedroom. I had the biggest crush on Jennifer Blome back then.
