I was the one who said Labrie was awesome, the guy before me said Labrie was bad so I yelled at him. And I don't know if you know anything about screaming but a "good" scream sounds the exact opposite of that. A good scream is powerful, angry/evil as fuck but still has enough clarity so that it DOESN'T shred off your ear drums. I think Spencer's vocals sound so gross and shrill that it shreds my ear drums. Christian Alvestrom sings AND screams the best.

@shinderhizzle84 i disagree man, labrie is awesome, true. but in the metal scene now theres no in between when it comes to vocals... people either expect you to sound like a dying bear OR have some amazing vocal range/control like for instance labrie. imo its ok to have a weak "scream" like spencer from periphery has, it still sounds good and fits the music very well; i dont need my ears raped by a deathly wretch not dis-similar from the sounds i make when i cant keep my vodka down (tmi? :p)

IMO Tesseract has one of THE worst vocalists not just in the djent scene but in the entire metal scene. The guy is an alright singer but he is hands down one of the WORST and WEAKEST screamers in the business. Terrible voice. I feel the same way about the guy from Periphery, too.

You deserve a lot of crap for saying that Jens Kidman and James Labrie are terrible vocalists. Jens Kidman's voice is brutal and Labrie can outsing almost anyone. I can't believe I'm the first one to do it
