I grew up on this movie. My father loves it, I do too. "When I drink water, I drink water, and when I drink whiskey, I drink whiskey". Wise words. This film is so true, Irish women are very fiery, especially 'Red-Heads'. :)

There's is such utter romance to this. There's is heart and loveliness, there is great story telling, and subtext. But most of all there is forgiveness of those who looked on romantic Irishness as a reality. All these years later, the performances, the filming, the the story still sings.
