  • GasserGlass how many coats did you spray with the tooling gen ?

    and how long between coats?

did you let it cure over at all before adding the matting or is that layed wright after?thanks

  • @DILUSI ............ When spraying GEL-COAT of ANY KIND.... Only SPRAY ONE Heavy COAT....!..... Use a Gel-coat gauge if your unsure on thickness..... the gel-coat gauge is very cheap to buy from Any Fiberglass Resin Supplier.

Let it cure between 4 & 8 hours .... depends on temp in your fiber-glassing area and how much hardener you used?!?!........... NEVER spray or brush a second coat of gelcoat!!!!

  • Why does he talk about how you can't be cheap with fiber glass, then the next thing you know he starts laying down the chopped fiber glass...the cheapest type of fiber fiber glass you can buy...

  • @Silverjda ...... Hes talking about cheap FIBERGLASS RESIN...... Not the fiberglass itself.... The fiberglass is only as good as the resins used!... Cheap resin makes for a weak part and shrinks, disintegrates in the sunlight etc..etc....... And by Cheap resin, he means in Quality, not price...... The garbage resins can you buy in the hardware or automotive stores is the bottom of the barrel resins and cheapest junk money can buy!

Fiberglass Resins are KEY to a quality part & mold

  • @GasserGlass at 2:50 there is no way in hell a person can deduce that he is using Epoxy resin all he says is fill it with fiberglass.

  • @Silverjda ... THERE IS LOW QUALITY AND HIGH QUALITY RESINS.... No Mater what TYPE resin you are using!.....TYPE of resin does not determine quality!..... Different types of resin are for different type of applications...There are low quality Epoxy Resins and high quality EPOXY resins...same with Polyester, Vinylester, Isothalic resin etc.. If Resin sits longer then its shelf life, it loses viscosity...JUST LIKE HAND TOOLS can be cheap.. EXAMPLE:.. SNAP-ON - vs - WALMART TOOLS

  • @Silverjda ..ADDED NOTE:.. When I say a resin is cheap, Im not talking about how much it cost.. QUALITY is what we are talking about.. We use PROFESSIONAL Laminating QUALITY RESINS and they cost less then what it does in Home Depot, Auto Zone, Pep Boys etc.. That stuff is total junk and it out of shelf life... ALL RESINS OF ALL TYPES has a shelf life like Milk Does... And store brand stuff is low quality general purpose resins to begin with.. Call us at 1-800-507-2003 for the FACTS!!

  • awesome videos!

  • @texicane1 ....A rubber mold wont last for 2 or 3 hundred pulls or parts made....I have some silicone & synth rubber molds for little detailed parts

  • Why don't you just make a rubber flexable mold?
