This video demonstrates the durability of the Unitech PA600.
PA600 is Powered by Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 or Windows Mobile 5.0, the PA600 is for users who need a compact, yet durable PDA for data collection and real time transactions. The PA600 comes equipped with a large color LCD touch screen, integrated laser scanner, 18-key keypad, 520MHz processor, Bluetooth, WLAN, and WWAN available. Designed to meet the demands of todays applications such as Retail, Hospitality, Healthcare, Sales Automation, and Field Services. The PA600 is small in proportion, but is extremely powerful and durable, with the ability to withstand 4-foot drops to a concrete floor and an IP64 rating to resist dust and water.
umm the device may be durable but the USB cable is not. The cable flexes back and forth in the device and over time - not even a very long time - the tiny black plastic teeth will break off inside the device and then you are hosed.

luvianqi: Please call Unitech Tech Support in USA: 800-861-8648.
bestSVMS: I see your point, that is one way to measure. Not turning off would be an advantage. Another way to measure is: does it still work? It clearly does. Surely a user that drops it far will be pleased when it turns on again.

i have problem with installing the pa600 serial cable (1550-602282G). When i plug in the cable to the unit, "Unidentified USB Device" is prompted. Please help.

if you ask me it would have failed the drop test because it turned off. That means that something is jiggling out of place to make it turn off. You should scan, drop, scan immedietly in order to qualify. I dont know the ratings, but thats how i would have made it.
