As computer technology improves, video games are getting more and more life-like, but there's something about those old-school snes games that makes them fun even today. So I decided to make an "snes-style" game engine in its honour ...but why stop there, why not make an editor so everyone can make old-school games. (Actually the editor's not just for old-school games, but I'll leave that for another time) Now here a video of the editor.

Do you know of any game making programs for windows that allow you to make games with all the limits of NES games. Like so you can make an NES game of your own without like modding an existing game or something? Or maybe you could make one like that. Because I have a game I would really like to make using NES technology for Windows.

For Windows, there's GameMaker 7.0 at YoYoGames dot Com. It will let you make NES-style games for windows (Coding Optional). but to make a game to run on the NES is hard, you have to code everything VERY carefully to save space, and to avoid slowdown. NES programmers used alot of low level assembly code... not fun :P
So for RPGs try RPG Maker
For anything else try GameMaker
When I'm done my program you can try it too :)
