INfinity - A dream concept for a video game

INfinity is a game that I thought up myself. So, unfortunately, it´s not a game that´s being turned into something playable. But anyways, it is the game that I´m dreaming of, my perfect game.

INfinity takes the player into wide open space. You´re starting inmidst of pitch black nothingness. You only have a very simple space-station. From there, you start travelling. Where you go, what you do, is all up to the player. Just to give an extreme example: Even though it´s certainly a rather modern topic, you could still happen to land on a planet with alien cultures that still fight with sword and shield...so it could happen that you yourself have to fight with a sword, even though you have much more advanced weaponry like a hand gun.

But that´s just an example. Maybe you don´t even find that certain planet. Maybe you flew into the opposite direction and found another alien race. Or other human beings. Or your space-station gets damaged and you have to repair it. Or, or, or.

INfinity is about destroying all limits. The limit is the player.

I was thinking a game on this scale, It wouldn't even be considered a game, The required interface would render a keyboard, monitor, ect obsolete, Assuming that is what you are imagine. More like a simulation.

That sounds like a hell of a job for the eventual developer to balance player freedom and unique scenarios :D

@JJCorny Well, yeah, it´d take enormous effort. But that´s why I see it as a real nextgen-game. Maybe new development tools would have to be created for this kind of concept, who knows.

Maybe I´ll upload the video again and replace the link, but the youtube-video looks fine now. Was just because it wasn processed to the end and me being impatient :P

Damn, ive been soo emotional about creating a game just like this my vision is exact, but you start out fresh you build matirials in first person, and I mean like from collecting rocks and using a forge and making money from it ect what ever your goal you can litrally create your everything, start from a planet in real size. so much to discover on it and more there would be a massive universe to explore
