As cheesy as it sounds, yes, I did write a song for John Lennon. I was reading "In His Own Write" and I figured I write my own poem, and then it turned into a song, and now we're here. TA DA! Anyway, here's the lyrics, and enjoy:
Dear John
I don't know what you taught them
Dear John
I never heard you tell your plan
But I'll try to learn it again
Dear John
You always make me laugh
Whether making up words
Or playing in the bath
John, later on
you told us you were tired
Of all their stupid plans backfired
John, you thought you weren't heard
But I hung onto every word
Dear John
I know what you told me
Dear John
You plan's there for all to see
Now all we have to do is learn to see the peace
Now you're long gone
But we'll remember
Dear John
