  • This man has clearly never read the old testament.

  • @Tribefull Holy Bible is made up of 66 books and we have 44 different authors all inspired by God. The Bible is a book of history. in both old and new Testaments there is an overarching theme of struggles of the Israelites. and then in the New Testament we have God's only begotten son arriving on the scene in order to redeem mankind from his fallenness. clearly the atheist resists truth even to their own peril.

  • if you use the complexity argument about why the universe needs a creator , then that even more complex creator must then need a creator . or else the basis of the argument is not valid .

  • @MrAtrophy Incorrect singular complex creator is all that we need for the existence of the universe. if something exists something must exist necessarily to put their. pure logic inescapable

  • @geerup scripture about rape, Deuteronomy 20:10-14 , Deuteronomy 22:28-29 , Numbers 31:7-18 , Deuteronomy 22:23-24 , and 2 Samuel 12:11-14 , Deuteronomy 21:10-14 , Judges 5:30 , Exodus 21:7-11 and Zechariah 14:1-2 . to qualify these laws . psalm 19:7 states " The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple."2 peter 20 " Know this first of all, that there is no prophecy of scripture that is a matter of personal interpretation "

  • @MrAtrophy Thanks for going to the trouble of drawing up the Scriptures I hope you read them. you will find out because the Bible historically documents something doesn't mean that God himself endorses it.

  • You would think that the sheer embarrassment of this video would be enough to take it down..... Some folks have no shame.

  • @Lollyfizzbm The Odyssey and the Iliad are both old books which could be classes as historical documents yet they lie in fiction.... Les Misérables is also a historical document used to examine the way of life and the construction of the French sewer systems at the time.

The Greatest lies always have a foundation of truth. For example World War 2 happened, D-Day happened most of the events in Saving Private Ryan on the other hand were fiction.... The Bible is nothing but a fictitious book.

  • @crawlersilverwind The Bible IS good. But you can't deny their arguments because the Bible (while inspired by God) was written by MEN. Men of ancient times and ancient morals. The context is gone, because it happened 2000 years ago.

The Bible is not God. It's a book. Books (especially the really important ones) have versions. We need a new version of the Bible that spells it out:

No slavery. No raping. No genocide. No treating women like cattle.

    In plain English.

  • @LordRulesOnEarth That's good for meditation, but doesn't float water in an argument. They're protesting what they see as major problems in the Bible. And they're right!

Why do you cling to the Bible? The Bible isn't God. It's just a book. The most important boks are made to have REVISIONS. "1st edition" "2nd edition" etc., always improving on what came before.

Are you saying the Bible has NO room for improvement? Thees and Thous? Really? Get with the times!

  • @LordRulesOnEarth That isn't a failing of the person, necessarily. The Bible IS a very OLD book. It could stand an update in a clearer, more modern dialect, at the very least!

  • @crawlersilverwind You can't believe that. Atheists are sad, sure, but that's no reason to think they're all evil. Even if they are misguided, that doesn't mean they don't try to do good. They don't hate the Bible, they hate the game some people play with it, twisting the words to their own ends.

They think the game is too easy, and it's just a tool to lead people astray.

And it is! Why don't we fix that? Rewrite the Bible for a modern age?

  • @crawlersilverwind No, it's only logical. God knew we would learn from our past mistakes and grow. You can't learn from a mistake unless you admit it.

The Bible is an OLD book. It's a good book, but that doesn't mean it's perfect. Inspired by God, WRITTEN by MAN. Man is flawed. The Bible is flawed.

Why can't we take a page from the scientists and FIX the flaws in the Bible? They do it every year when something new is learned. We can too.

  • @kenVHYT Now that's just rude. Hell is a lie and you know it is. God is love, power, and truth. He would never allow ANY of his children to suffer for eternity in hell. If he cannot stand their presence, any hell he sends them to certainly wouldn't be eternal, only until they see the light.

He's all powerful AND all good. Hell, if it exists, is to reform the sinners, not torture them. That's monstrous! God would never allow it. Stop spreading the lie.

  • @LordRulesOnEarth That's just rude. God is love and truth. He wouldn't smite someone for disagreeing with him. God isn't petty like that. That's a human failing, something the human writers of the Bible put in to justify their feelings.

And besides, negative reinforcement is an ineffectual tool in reform. Everyone knows that the path back to goodness begins with love.

  • @KennyVaughan I agree. But that sort of thing needs to be spelled out.

Right now, the Bible is a horribly out of date manuscript. If we care about Christianity, we need to take a page from the scientists: revise the Bible and correct it for errors.

There's plenty of good work being done by Christians following the good, clear, logical, and still-applicable parts of the Bible. The errors and mad bits are long overdue for the scrapheap.

    Don't throw it, fix it!

  • @ReceivingJesus They're just upset at what they see as religion-doing-evil. We're in the modern age and have rejected the madness of our ancestors: Christian anti-semitism, Crusades, the inquisition, stoning people for sins, etc., etc.

The problem is holding onto the Bible. Science gets to correct itself when humanity learns new things. That's why it works. Why can't we do that with the Bible? Make it clearer, better? We're good people. Let's prove it!

  • @LightHasDawned That's a terrible attitude to have. If someone is struggling, don't you extend a hand to help? And I'm pretty sure Jesus meant to make the foundation of reverse psychology. Tell the fool what he wishes to hear, say you're an athiest too, and simply correct them on their actual acts of evil in a culturally accepted, legal way.

Rejecting God isn't a sin. If that were true, he would be a sad, petty bod. He is not. He is love.
