Sounds like the hard drive has a cheap sleeve bearing and motor driver, just like the ones on the video spinner I'm working on, which makes the same noise at the same speed.

ooh, what would it take to get an image of the startup disk for that? I have an error 161 after replacing a CMOS battery.
The computer weighs close to 50 pounds, doesn't it? That's some hard-core computing:)

I highly doubt the video was uploaded using the computer in question, it just wouldn't happen on that computer.
