Good for you. You're right that you can't be with her if she is unmedicated. I do hope she becomes sanctioned. 3 times worth of OD attempts and being in bed all day should be more than enough evidence for them.

I'm currently engaged to a lovely lady with bipolar. Any advice for me ?

There is still hope, imagine some day you will feel sunshine and the birds will sing. Flowers will bloom and you will feel better, the both of you. :O)

that's understandable, I can't tell you how much I sympathize with your situation... you've done well to be able to handle it this far regardless of whether Jill is in the frame of mind to recognise that. I trust that her family do?
How is she able to obtain these drugs with which to OD while in the hospital?! It's amazing to me!
When I've been hospitalized, they went through everything I had on me, and I was only allowed two changes of clothes and toothbrush, basically. Anyone who visited me was also searched. They knew I wasn't suicidal, but it was policy for all.
What is the hospital doing to protect her from herself like they're supposed to be doing? Insane!
I hope she'll get back on her meds ASAP.

I saw both my shrink and my therapist today and among many other things discussed you and Jills situation. They couldn't believe that she was able to do this (od) right under their noses. I'm lucky to have the care I do , I wish more people did . This is new for me too , my last doc was terrible .I will miss seeing your diary vids every day :(

I'm glad to hear that Jill's liver signs are better. Hopefully once she's back on her medication she'll have a clearer mind.
