@kenyam101 He didn't kick off his career in Toronto! He formed Moist in Vancouver. They rocked!!! I'll never forget walking in the West End and seeing them walk out of the local coffee shop, their guitars in hand. They were in their prime then. My jaw dropped to the ground. Women can understand why!

Well... the song is named after a major Canadian geographic site... NYC is a major recording center.. even big timers from as far as Australia goes their. Why should Canadian's be disadvantaged due a stupid identity crisis?
Besides, he moved from Vancouver, to Toronto to kick off his career and is currently in Montreal... NYC was just a stop over
