  • @zombieturd7 it is necessarily if you always using your car everyday..coast to coast....

  • @JayzBeerz Actually, I do. I failed to make that statement. When I use a good oil and change the filter every 5K miles, its because I didn't have an amsoil or rp filter on hand.

  • @cdlcheck Why not use a long life oil filter like Royal Purple or Amsoil oil filters. And you can change the oil every 12,000 - 25,000 miles.

  • any SM/SN rated oil will last at least 5000 miles in a normal application, if not longer. i go 25,000 on schaeffers 7000 with perfect UOA's

  • I use Amsoil, Royal Purple, Mobil 1 Extended Performance and change those every 10,000 to 12,000 miles while changing the filter every 5000 and topping off. Sometimes I will use a group III base synthetic oil like Penzoil Platinum or Castrol Syntec and go 5000 miles. My oil analysis reports have reported superb results. Changing oil every 3000 miles due to necessity is a myth if you use good oils. Using non-synthetics you can still go longer so long as TBN is still above 3 or 4.

  • i change my oil every 300,000 ft or every 120 days

  • i chang oil every 10 000 km

  • Changing the engine oil more than necessary causes engine damage/wear, because every time that oil is changed, the engine has a dry start causing a lot of wear and tear. I change my AMSOIL every 25,000 miles or so and have had great results.
