"Eindelijk!.. Het debuutalbum 'Ontwikkelingsfase' van DeFact. Nadat de rapper uit Hoorn zijn talent liet horen in de videoclip 'T Voelt goed op TMF en de studiosessie bij Radio 538 Juize, belande zijn carrière in een stroomversnelling.

In een jaar tijd verschenen niet alleen drie videoclips en vijf nieuwe singles maar stond hij ook in pop podia als 013 Tilburg, P60 Amstelveen en Waerdse Tempel Heerhugowaard.

Hierdoor wist DeFact de aandacht op zich te vestigen op het hiphop festival Definitie van Dopeheid, heeft de rapper tijd gevonden om zijn eigen platenlabel te starten, zijn debuutalbum af te ronden en gaf hij zijn CD presentatie in Europa's bekenste poptempel Paradiso Amsterdam.

'ONTWIKKELINGSFASE' is een samenwerking met producers als STW (The Q4), Dizzla.D en Bushmeister.J. Producer Oliver Kucera heeft al het mixwerk voor zijn rekening genomen. Het resulteert in gevarieërde uiteenlopende beats waarop DeFact zijn debuut verhaalt over de ontwikkelingsfases in het leven waarin persoonlijke groei centraal staat.

DeFact laat naar eigen zeggen veel "verschillende kanten van zichzelf horen" op het album. Op 'Ontwikkelingsfase' brengt de rapper rauwe Boombap Hiphop ('The Phat-Intro', 'Eerste Pagina, Dit is wat we doen'), Ontspanning ('Leunstoelshit, Gewoon een dag'), levenservaring ('Epilepsie, Wie ik vroeger was', 'Ontwikkelingsfase'), liefdesbetuigingen ('T Voelt Goed') en breakbeat wake-up-call ('Goe-uh-Mor-guh') samen tot één album. Gastbijdrages worden verzorgd door Ralpha, BNJMN, STW (The Q4), zangeressen 'Sasyaa Xiomara en Lelo. DJ DNS, DJ Frankie Boxcutta,

Uit een unieke samenwerking met Oliver Kucera (DeF3Design), Rens en fotograaf Hans Albers is het artwork van het album tot stand gekomen.
