@videogameobsession Found it:
Japanese Mode Enter the Options menu. Choose ''26'' for the music and ''56'' for sound selections, then hold Down/Left + A + B + C + Start.
And 32X Afterburner:
Arcade Mode : When you see the Sega logo press: A + C + Start on 2P
Debug Menu: At the Sega screen, take controller 2 and press: A + C + Start. At the title screen, with controller 1, press: A + B + C + Start

@videogameobsession I totally did the same thing with my Ghouls 'N Ghosts! There is a super secret menu in the 32X Afterbuner where you can go into the servo test mode for the arcade seat. I cannot remember how I got into that. I think you can get the Dai Maki Mura title with a code too.

.. It was a bit different on the Neo-Geo though. I had to take the cartridge out at an angle and then quickly re-insert it. I'm sure it's not good to do this so I only did it a few times and recorded the sound test on a cassette at the time. It was on my old AES system. I'm not about to try it again on my modded system. :P
speaking of that. I'd like to add a region switch on my Gen some time. Some games have interesting changes, like Mystic Defender changing the main character into a woman.

@tigheklory I got the idea from the Genesis.... I think I got pissed off at Revenge of Shinobi one day and ripped out the cartridge while it was turned on. I then put it back in and hit reset. To my surprise the title screen showed THE SUPER SHINOBI! :P I did the same to play Japanese versions of Mystic Defender and Ghouls 'N Ghosts.
I figured I'd try this on the Neo-Geo because I knew they contained the JPN/EUR information and it ended up playing through all the sounds...

@videogameobsession What would you do to the cart to access the sound tests???
-
@tigheklory Probably not. It's more suited towards the AES with the option to let you play with MVS options, softdips. The built-in cheats database is actually pretty nice though and it has cheats for just about every game.
It also has a jukebox which is why I really want it in my AES. I have the older dedug bios, but I really crave the Neo-Geo Jukebox!
I used to partially pull out the AES carts to access the hidden sound tests. I'm glad I didn't fry it in the process!

@videogameobsession I could always put the UniBIOS in my MVS, but I don't think I would take advantage of it.

Thank Tighe!
Puzzle Bobble with blood!! :P
Metal Slug X is like a remix of MS2. They also fix the slowdown quite a bit.
So Metal Slug 6 and 6+ look to be Metal Slug 3 + hacks.
It would have been neat if there was some way to incorporate the UniBIOS directly on the multicart, but I'm guessing it's not possible. That way you would be able to play the games with the AES settings and also dev mode (debug).
There is a way, with debug mode, to view unused characters and levels in Metal Slug 3.
I've got a question about these multicarts. Can you go into the soft dip settings for a game without a test button? I ask because I've got a supergun without a test button.

@castlevania78 No, but the softdip settings don't work for the most part, you have to flip dips on the MVS to get into a special settings mode. You know it is REALLY easy to add a test mode button.
