This:
There is an easier way to do this.
-drag and drop one of the layers over the other
- since the camera wasn't moved when taking the two different pictures and no part of your body on one image overlaps another part of your body on the other image, you can just cut off half of the image of one of the images with an eraser or the crop tool
- done in less than a minute

Use a tripod for this, ALWAYS! Take the 2 different shots. Overlay them in PS, then erase one side.
