MAGNIFICENT!!

@belshep Thank you - yes, I think so too, as I remember it was summer-y. Immediately after my post I found a very detailed website devoted to Richter, trovar.com, and I wanted to add this to my posting, but YT would not let me post in quick succession. The concert is listed there. He spent a lot of time moving his piano stool before beginning, as I recall. Then - magic happened. The website ruly punishing schedule with often daily concerts, and many in what could now be called backwater towns.

WHAT A MARVELLOUS TREASURE!

Finally the whole performance! Don't know how to express the gratitude. Compared to the recording with Kleiber this live performance was less polished, but with much adventurousness and fearlessness. Magnificent!

Fantastic-I never thought I would come accross these two last movements.
Thanks

here you are!
I saw him play in Prague, but about a decade after this. Unfortunately I do not recall the programme. Do you have any reference to that concert?

@oldoperafan What you are talking about could be 2nd June 1975 at Prague Rudolfinum. He played Beethoven Sonata 3 and 3 Bagatelles from op.126 in the first part and the "Hammerklavier" in the second, plus Wagner "Schmachtend" as an encore

Sensationell, vielen Dank! Ich kenne die Aufnahme mit Carlos Kleiber und ihm sehr genau. Hier sieht man, w i e Richter Klavier spielt, unübertroffen.
Fantastisch!
