  • hi aldo, i commented on another video a week ago, but i couldnt remember which it was, so now im here. im still wearing a headband 24/7, and the swelling has gone down a lot. they are still a little numb, but not bad. i was just wondering what it was like when you returned to places where people had known you before. im a little scared of how my friends will react and also the people i know at the places where i exercise. how was it for you? did people really take notice? thanks

  • @chapita57 in my experience they said they didnt notice my ears sticking out. others said i looked different but they couldnt tell what it was. believe me we are more paranoid thinking are they looking at my ears when in fact they are not lol...i remember when we were at a restaurant and at the mall how i felt like people were just looking at me thinking it was my ears but i think its just psychological. dont worry about it.

  • @aldo125 ok, i'll try not to worry, then :). thank you!

  • @chapita57 No problem and you're welcoime :-)

  • @chapita57 Hey I just posted a video of me, I`m getting Otoplasty in 4-5 months but with me it`s a little more complicated than just my ears. check out my video.

  • @Situazian yeah its ok you should feel some kind of pressure. Later on you will be wearing the headband when you go to sleep only. thats what my dr had me do when i went on my next follow up.

  • @aldo125 oh alright I see. But I'm already wearing the headband that Im supposed to wear day and night for a week now and it does have gauzes to protect my ears as well. But this headband is on pretty tightly and i feel it pushing on my ears pretty tightly. I was wondering if this was okay? not sure if you addressed this in the previous reply but I was just making sure :)!

  • @Situazian Yes being wrapped like a mummy was not a great feeling rather uncomfortable since it is put on pretty tight. after that the band you wear 24/7 is not bad at all. in my case i wore a headband with gauzes on my ears to protect them from the headband...also i did have some bleedinng when they changed my first couple of head wraps. just make sure you keep your head elevated if i had to pick something up i would bend my legs and not my back to avoid putting pressure on my head

  • @aldo125 Hey aldo, day 2 of recovery here and I saw some other comments saying that u had the bandage that went under and around the chin as well. I have the same one and I was wondering how long you kept that band on 24/7 for? Also did you have a decent amount of pressure applied to the ears from the headband to keep them in place like me at the moment? Also I was wondering if you experienced any post op bleeding? Thanks alot!

  • @Situazian No problem. i know you will like your results its just takes time i started liking my results after 4-6 weeks after the surgery.
