  • Ik denk, de beste periode van Emmylou, de tijd met de Angel Band; Grandioos; Michiel;

  • MIUTO BOM JOIA

  • Emmy is easy on the eye. Gentle on the ear,& thanks for the post.

  • Written by Goebel Reeves, performed by Woody.

  • superb

  • I used to sing this to my unborn baby when I was pregnant. She still liked it when she was born ! I think it's written by Arlo Guthrie or was it Woody ? I like Arlo's version better.

  • Emmylou at her purest and best - one of my 'Desert Island Discs'

  • This song evokes images of dislocated men riding in boxcars during the Depression trying to survive or find themselves. Jimmy Rogers, the Singing Brakeman, wrote and sung a lot of songs like this. Back then, hobos were not looked upon with much favor. They were the original "Work For Food" guys, Many people who lived by railroad tracks got small chores down simply by giving them a sandwich.

  • I Love her version of this song !

    Thanks for posting this ,

  • Beatiful song/voice indeed. And i can relate, been there a few times myself...
