HOW TO BREAK IN:
information about this subject is very hard to find. people say that the only way to break in an official NBA leather basketball is to just keep using it. there are a few problems with this, though:
1. it takes FOREVER to break in fully by just playing with it
2. its difficult to use in games because not many people want to hoop with this ball unless its broken in (they think its cheap)...which means it takes even LONGER to break in
so after doing a little research online, i found out that some people use leather conditioner to help break it in. im not saying that applying leather conditioner will turn this into a perfect ball, but i guess it helps speed up the breaking-in process. basically after you use the leather conditioner, you still have to play with it (the more, the better) but it should work faster with the leather conditioner. i actually used a couple of coatings of the conditioner to help speed up the process. after i hoop with it a few more times, i will make an update video with the ball's progress.

REVIEW:
best indoor ball, ever. a lot of people do not like the feel of this ball, but it took me about 6 shots to learn how to adjust. after i did, however, i soon learned that this ball is superior to any fake "leather" ball out there. once you start hitting nothing but net, the sound that it makes alone is worth it (maybe i can get that on tape, also). the net just seems to respond differently to the swish on this ball...it just recoils and "thwaps" like a whip.

stay tuned for the update i will post later after i break this ball in.

  • How llong did it take to fully break it in? And how long before you used conditioner?

  • @MeecHieNdo honestly, id have to say that its STILL not FULLY broken in (or at least where i want it to be) yet...dont get me wrong, its still my favorite, but i know its still going to get a little better. i started the conditioner about a year or so after i got it & used it over and over again on indoor courts. i stopped conditioning it now altogether and am just going to break it in by using it.

but short answer: still not FULLY broken in...about only 75% of the way there...

  • this is probably the best basketball ball, you are honored........

i had bad experiences with those creams and liquids.........

i agree with (used) ball.....great video ............and dont mind about k mart peoplehahahahaahahah

  • @DH12C ya im thinking the best way to do it is just using it over and over and over...

  • ive played with all sorts of basketballs old new official not official and i have adjusted to all of them as i play and dont really notice a difference

  • @wadeh12 everybody adjusts if the have to...but you honestly dont notice any difference between any basketball? i find that hard to believe...

  • @Ligthning95 wtf? thats not the point...new basketballs arent as nice to play with as broken-in (used) basketballs. if you keep buying new ones, you will never get to play with the ball at its best.

are you just trying to show off by hinting that $90 isnt much money for you or something? then why dont YOU just buy me a new one?

  • Dude my friend brought his to a rec center and I loved it. Everyone was hating on it for all the reasons you mentioned. One guy even said it was fake. He said it was too hard. They idiot didn't even know that this ball is like that when it is new. This ball has perfect balance and unless you play basketball a lot you won't appreciate the consistency.

People are idiots. The guy even said Spalding paid the NBA to print official game ball on it. LOL like why the hell would they do that?

  • @KhMErTRiAd post a video?! i got that ball like a year ago the price is gone. the ball had a small scuff and the ball was posted as an add on to some basketball cards. so people bidding that he was only selling cards when the ball was included. geez

  • @Chilax yeah right liar, post a video of it then.

  • i got one of those on ebay for $10 new
