@Travide You would want to update the bios if your motherboard doesn't support some newer revision CPU's. BIOS updates can also help with certain stability issues. If you go to your motherboard website you can see what the updates help with. I just used the Asus updated to update my mobo to support C3 revision CPU's. If you have no problems with your motherboard or computer there is generally no reason to update your bios.

this method is easy and mostly more reliable than EZ flash i have done couple of times with it and no problems and the only time i use the EZ flash the mobo died (soon to be fixed)
