I don't agree to khanSherKhan. "Conquer" means being defeated on military level and also on spirit. Many races have been conquered in the history. I'm Chinese, so example like China, there used to be dozens of countries thousands years ago on this vast land, and the rest are conquered by one of them. They disappeared forever. Afghans may be defeated by overwhelming forces at beginning, but never give up the fight and Afghanistan still stands today. So technically, you can't call that "conquered"

I don't agree that Afghanistan is unconquerable. Afghanistan was conquered by Alexander when it used to called Kurrasan. Then White Hans conquered it. Then Arab muslims conquered it and ruled on it. Then Mongols came along and destroyed the capital those days, Herat. They still live in North and no one bother with them. Then came Sikh who conquered kabul and ruled almost 50 years. Yes Afghans are tough and gurilla fighters. Remember Vietnamies are not Afghans but they also kicked Americans out
