In the second segment, we'll ask if TNA can make it another 5 years ; Why don't they learn from others'(and their own) mistakes? If they exist in 5 more years, will they be relevant? What should TNA be doing to elevate themselves? Is it too late for Samoa Joe to shine? What are the positives of TNA? Hosted by Eric Santamaria.

  • Who was the guy you were impersonating in the beginning of the video E lol?

  • The guy who does the voice overs on TNA's commercials, heh

  • haha nobody cares about sting? how many skilled vets are still around? the era dies with sting and his talent

  • I thought that was a goofy thing to say too. He's only so over that the fans still cheered him when they turned him heel in the MEM & he also bumped the ratings considerably(for TNA anyway) when he returned a few years ago. This is also to say nothing about his incredible conditioning and the shape he's in as you were alluding to ; I was just saying they should be concentrating on building their own original stars than relying on older ones, to say 'nobody cares' is clearly not true

  • A year and a half later, and this video is still fresh. There is absolutely no change with that boring crap, TNA might make it to the ten year mark with theyre lackluster use of talent, and who will care!

  • Actually, the only change is 'They haven't made a dime since day one' because they've made a profit the last few years. Nothing HUGE, but still that's great news for them and also an indicator that for all the stupid shit they do every week, they maintain their audience and make enough money from Spike/advertisers/sponsors and international distribution to sustain themselves. Everything else I'm sure IS the same, however ;) heh, thanks

  • tna has definately made me cringe a bit over the last few months (super eric, tuxedo match!) but i still much prefer it to the HHH show..sorry i mean wwe. this thing ther doing now with the main event mafia is nothing original but at least it gets the original guys together without stupid gimmicks so guys like eric young can really show what they can do

  • TNA is too gimmicky and shocking there still on tv. They gave joe the belt and it failed miserably because TNA were to scared to make it seem relevant. WE DON'T HAVE COMMERCIALS, lol good show.

  • What if they shortened the name to Pete Williams? I love Petey Williams, amazing athlete, but what a shame that his name happens to be Petey and he's almost the same size as Hornswaggle. The guy can go! If I had a wrestling company, I'd push Petey to the moon. On a side note, as much as I like the whole panel, Lawrence Haber is my favorite on the Roundtable!

  • Actually Kurt Angle debut on iMPACT before the Genesis PPV against Abyss.

  • @MRobert21 This exactly how I feel, sad thing is TNA has links with NJPW,AAA and allows it's wrestlers still to appear with ROH who also have a deal with NOAH.

Create a global wrestling federation, the stories you can have would be amazing,Guys switching or drifting through promotions, invasions, global drafts and world tournaments as well.Wrestling could bigger than ever but it's always denying fans what they want, burying talent and giving us silly gimmicks and stories. It needs to be refreshing

  • NWO worked because they lied and said it was a WWF invasion, which is never going to be done again because WCW lost a law suit to WWF that cost WCW millions of dollars and gave WWF the right to buy WCW if it was ever sold. TNA has tried to be a 1 trick pony for years and no 1 story is going to make a whole company from out of nothing. Wrestling needs to be like all major league sports with 1 major league (WWF), a developmental system (FCW), and foreign leagues (Japan, Mexico, et cetera). End TNA

  • Yes all the wrestling stories have been done. nWo is ripped off from New Japan, but it still worked because it was something different in America. Maybe it won't be something new, just a fresh take on something old.

TNA just needs to do something, because WWE & its formula are tired & stale. Wrestling needs competition, period. TNA, at least right now, is the best competitor to WWE. So I'd like to see them become a viable 2nd option.

  • All the wrestling stories have been done before, so no 1 story is going to make TNA work. A company that did a crap 1.1 TV rating last week and put 1,200 people in seats in a 17,000 seat building is dead. Druggie Hardy did not ask for vacation as his deal expired and he refused to sign a new deal because he was tired of McMahon forcing him to be sober via constant piss tests. Hardy likes drugs more than cash or fame, so he knew he could go to the minor league that hires all of the WWF cast offs

  • I don't mean that TNA needs to replicate the actual nWo, just that they need a hot story that gets attention like the nWo did for WCW at first.

And considering that WWE put the strap on a stoned drug addict, I wouldn't say they get any points either. They were just lucky that Hardy asked for a vacation before he got caught with the drugs.

  • Sure TNA is the best in ring product, if you like crippled has beens, stoned drug addicts, flippy dippy midgets, a million run ins, and confusing crap gimmick matches. WWF is a few icons who can still go (HHH, HBK, Undertaker, etc.) with all the best young, physical, talent (Cena, Orton, Miz, etc.). The last thing TNA needs is another NWO because they have tried doing the NWO over again at least 10 times including KOW, SEX, MEM, the Band, etc. Jarretts sucked and then Dixie made it all worse.

  • TNA can be fixed. They already have better in-ring product than WWE. The trick is to match that up with good writing.

TNA is WCW 2.0, especially now that they've brought in all the WWE rejects & old timers. And just like WCW, TNA seems to have some decent ideas but doesn't know what to do with them. They haven't found their nWo story yet. Until they can put out some great storylines, TNA is doomed to being a distant second to Vince.

  • Russo is on the way out (for like the sixth time) again, but Hogan / Bischoff have not figured out how to get Russo out of his contract yet. Daniels is a job boy for 1999 comedy act Val Venus, Styles is now a Flair clone, Sloppy Joe is jobbed and kidnapped, and Nigel's piece of ass valet is the only thing TNA is doing with him. Bischoff / Hogan are their usual bull and bluster, but have not improved business. TNA is wasting money like it is the USA government and not drawing a penny at all.
