That was a hellhole - lots of memories for me having been there from 69-70. Makes you grow up too fast.

@USGolfChamp The feeling is mutual; pilots got us in (tanxalot) and out (double tanxalot) of some bad assed places. You tipped your hat to us grunts (we're not used to that), but we all owe a lot to all of the flight crews who brought us food and ammo, took away our wounded, and provided fire power when we needed it. The Huey crew who dropped us off at a hot LZ near the Laotion border in late 70 felt like fish out of water when the ship got hit, but they probably did the same thing again.

My brother was a Combat Medic(Airborne), 2/327th Inf. 101st. '70-71 and spent many days, weeks and months patrolling the A Shau, saved many lives.

Lost my friend in Vietnam killed by artillery fire, Micheal D. O'Conner, his brother Eddie cried for days he was unconsolable, I cried and I can remember the pain and we are experiencing that pain again. God bless all the brave who lost thier lives!
