This is awesome. I wish it had worked better. But it's still awesome.

this is absolutely amazing, tear-jerking even. I realize yall are trying to keep costs down, and utility high, but what you made actually looks like it will end up accidentally working in a different way. Enough steel plating can stop bullets, but the shrapnel from the impacting bullet can spray outwards impacting body parts. That mesh that you made might actually be capable of catching bullet shrapnel after it impacts the back layer of steel. I suggest using the same design against more steel.

@Sozenful leave him alone, he's just a human.

@v1nch3nzproductions ehh...like I said at 9:15 I feel this armor is a answer to a question nobody asked. And you can get great refurbishment Level IIIA for $200 from some places. When somebody says 'Jesus that's expensive!" I say "How much is your life worth?" I wear a III & have level IV plates for occasions. ;)

@bloddfolife243 actually if they put the metal plating in cusioned padding, then they would not feel the energy as much, and i think that this way is cheeper than buying a $300-$400 kevlar bullet proof vest.
-
depleat the energy?... you get shot with a bullet your gona feal the energy hit you no matter what... Kevlar vests still leav you with a 3 inch welt
-
@Sparrow227 Why thank you! But I'm 11 years older than that & really bald :)
-
@lst1195 you don't look that old you look like your 31
Why would you want to wear Plates?! Why don't you get a level IIIA kevlar vest that you can pick up for about 300-400$? I used to be a security officer and I wore a lvl IIIA vest and it was light and it was good enough to stop a .45 caliber:)
