COWARTS: Adam Campbell and James Enfinger got word of a fire inside a nearby trailer. Upon hearing a moan coming from inside the flaming mobile home, they kicked the door in and braving the searing heat and smoke, dragged an unconscious Lisa Nichols outside to safety. Neither Campbell or Enfinger have any formal fire rescue training.

The Houston County Commission was the first to recognize these to very humble home town heroes right after the event happened this past February. On Monday night, the two were formally recognized by Congressman Bobby Bright and State Senator Harri Anne Smith. Governor Bob Riley was represented by State Representative Benjamin Lewis and Senator Smith in a presentation at the Cowarts Municipal Building.

The video shows the presentations after which Adam and James tell their story about that eventful day that Lisa Nichols' life was saved by these two heroes. Two better neighbors one could not have!
