Special Investigation - Atheist Alert

Here are Ray and Kent again with another Special Investigation, using all the available information to draw reasonable conclusions about what it means to not believe in their specific deity.

Months and months ago I read on Pharyngula a letter sent to the editor of a newspaper that read almost verbatim to Ray and Kent's conversation here. It was stunning that even if it's only the hardest-core fundamentalists, that anyone can presume that they know anything about a person simply by their lack of belief in something that is so devoid of supporting evidence. In fact, in making this one I based the early script around that letter and let it build up from there.

OK: two videos in two days!! A new record! Or THREE vids in FOUR days if you include my ad. Ive been suffering from creativity constipation. These two videos have been stuck in my birth canal for weeks and weeks, and this little mid-week break has allowed me to finally put my feet up in the stirrups and give birth to the bastards.

The next video hasn't even reached the early draft stage, so it will be several weeks. But I feel SO good to get these ones out. I think this one is funnier than Special Investigation - 20th Century Killers, but even if they both flopped dismally I'd feel great having finally made them.

@Templarforever "Atheist ethic" is a moral system that is mostly objective, somewhat subjective, based on reality, not myth and stupidity. Believe it or not, we don't NEED fairy tales to tell us right from wrong. Guess what.. the morals we have today are not some kind of devine instruction from some kind of sky-daddy. Atheism: I believe in Nothing. Worship Nothing. Do the ritual of doing Nothing special. I pray to Nothing.

I am a human being being human and so know right from wrong. Sandbox morality if nothing else: No hitting (or bullying), share the toys (common wealth), no stealing (there is stuff that is owned), no lying (except when lying is actually a good). You are a human being being human too.

It's hilarious when creationists say that evolution is not only a description of the reality around us but also NECESSARILY a moral ideology as well. That's like saying believing in gravity means you are in favor of people falling off cliffs and dying or that believing in electromagnetism means you are in favor of people getting struck by lightning.
