UFO wrote this song, Maiden came out in 1979 ( Debut Album) this is 1975, UFO guitarist & singer ( Schenker wrote the music/Mogg the lyrics) released in 1974!!
Maiden recorded this cover song as a tribute to UFO for influencing them!! dig deeper into UFO history,,, the out of tune? ,who really cares ,
back then they didn't have your electronic tuner ,tabs & all that you just download

to mention UFO and Maiden in the same sentance is an insult to the groundbreaking brilliance of UFO and their wonderful songwriting. A more acceptable parallel would be Priest to Maiden, but again Priest dump on them from a great height :)

@vampyros1 I totally agree with you. Phil certainly doesn't have the best voice, especially now. Schenker is amazing. How did Mogg treat Schenker badly though? Never heard that story.

First saw UFO play this mid 70s in a venue that later became Barry Nobbles Nottingham Astoria. 2nd time was in the Nottingham Catholic Cathedral Hall with individual wooden chairs set out in rows for the crowd. Awesome !!

I always thought Phil Mogg was a mediocre singer and a douchebag for the way he treated Michael Schenker. On the other hand, I always thought Michael Schenker was one of the coolest humans on the planet and a fucking musical GENIUS. 'Force It' changed my life. That's my 2 cents worth ... fwiw
