The anime itself is pretty shitty because it doesn't follow the original story. They do for the first few episodes(changing alot of shit), but then they start to go off on another tangent with the Incognito story. The OVA is better, more exciting. Also, this is just an opinion, but I hardly think Naruto is "kickass". Not to mention, it completely fucks up on it's portrayal of ninjas, who are really little more than thugs for hire, and a blonde kid in an orange jumpsuit with ADHD isn't a ninja.
