A quick response to Epcwnz's T Flip Flop.
It's certainly very compact, but since it relies on a very specific timing (possibly exploiting) that breaks sticky pistons, it requires that the input is of a certain length. I managed to break it by using a lever, for instance.
But of course, this only matters if you expect the input to change very frequently. Decreasing the size usually means sacrificing some other property, like toggle rate (how many times it can be toggled in a minute) or the cost of materials, which, depending on the situation, may be worth it.
