The democrats have had the majority in the House of Representatives for two years. Has the price of Oil or gas gone down during there time in Congress? Have the democrats in control of Congress succeeded in lowering the price of Oil?

Thanks to John McCain and Newt Gingrich at AmericanSolutions they are encouraging Congress to allow more oil exploration and drilling, but the democrats want to say no.

Offshore drilling will take about a decade to implement...and guess what...it's STILL a short term solution. We will STILL need to look into alternative fuels, so good time wasted!

It makes far more sense to implement solutions that force conservation while seeking alternative energy sources such as H2 fuel cells, efficient battery technology (without a gov't subsidy or "reward" paid by taxpayers) and wind/solar technologies.

ANY DEPENDENCY ON OIL IS A NO WIN SITUATION!

I always liked Obama but I was kind of hoping Hill would win the dem nomination. One reason why presidents don't keep many of their campaign promises is because there are always things they weren't aware of before getting elected. I figured Hillary would have the advantage of knowing where so many of the bodies were buried, figuratively speaking.

@WomanforPeaceSanity I think i have to agree! it must be said that we, in the middle-east, felt for the first time that there is a true American leader that supports peace in words and actions. As a palestinian i can totally understand Obama and all i'm asking is for him to put more effort to convince the israeli government to stop settlement expansion in our land, killing, kidnapping and "occupying" us...

Peace will always be our eternal choice, and we hope to share it with Obama
